"Life is a B-movie" said Poison Ivy, guitarist of "The Cramps". CandyDandyDan totally agrees, but thinks you should make the most of it. It may take you two steps forward and than one step back, but hey, that's a Cha-Cha! Get up and dance!
After countless concerts with the rock'n roll band "The Convertibles" at the beginning of the 2000s and 10 years more or less alone in the basement, as a writer for the unfortunately defunct "Fräuleinwundermagazin" and currently the Vintageflaneur, or as a visitor to several retro and kustom festivals, it was time to put on the B-side.
My new EP "Soft Power" was written and composed in tough times...but hey, cheer up: music shall make you dance, stroll around, chant and get ready for another round.
Seize the day, my dear!
The song "Retrosexuell" takes a tongue-in-cheek (self?)critical look at being a "vintage" man in the budding 21st century. Is there a true gentleman in the beautiful appearance or just a macho pig who likes the gender roles of past decades? Probably not many people know that the retro movement started in the early 90s mainly with the punks...as a stink finger against the self-indulgent consumer society.
My second single "Black Heart Company" is a declaration of love to the frustrated and the desperate in this world. Because you are not alone (Welcome to the club...). Join the Black Heart Company and experience a different kind of angermanagement!
"Lavender Girl" is dedicated to my daughter Yola (2004 - 2006).
